Successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to take responsibility, as they will have limited supervision. This individual will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, enjoy working with the general public, and be able to work primarily in an outdoor setting. This individual will also need to be a great team player and step up as needed. Since this individual works in a key public position, flexibility is a must. They will participate in all departmental events and will need to adjust their schedule to ensure coverage; the department will provide at least a 2 week notice before a permanent schedule change. Individual must be available to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.

High school diploma or GED; at least 6 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provides support for event parking in the Cornell Parking Structure to include but not limited to: Point of contact, sales, and must be proficient in cash management
- Effectively communicate information about the UNM campus, including its parking rules, regulations, and locations to students, staff, faculty, and visitors
- Provides visitors with parking validations
- Provide traffic control when necessary
- Provide conflict resolution to visitors, staff, and visitors when parking, traffic or other various issues or concerns are encountered while on campus
- Assist with special event parking, traffic and crowd control activities
Conditions of Employment
- Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
- All regular, non-temporary positions assigned to this classification are represented by a labor union and subject to the terms and conditions of the CWA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
