Position Summary
The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
The Autism Programs at the Center for Development & Disability supports statewide diagnostic evaluations, training, consultation and resource development for families and providers of individuals in New Mexico.
The Education Associate will provide technical and administrative assistance in the development and preparation of training, education, and informational support materials for delivery to client population.This individual will assist in educational communication and outreach including flyers and training packets.Utilizing knowledge of the Autism Programs, will share educational information at resource fairs.
Will assist with daily organizational tasks related to the training programs including Autism Conversations Podcast and Partners in Policymaking. In addition, this position will support the development and delivery of training; may provide marketing materials such as flyers and will provide input into the development of training and / or technical assistance through a lived experience perspective. This position will also participate in trainings and / or technical assistance as request. This position will also perform a variety of administrative duties to support the implementation of training as assigned.

Conditions of Employment
- Possession of a valid New Mexico driver's license is a requirement for this job.
- Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Person with lived experience of ASD.
