PLEASE NOTE : This position is for the UNM Gallup Branch, located in Gallup, NM, approximately 138 miles west of Albuquerque, NM.
The University ofNew Mexico-Gallup invites applications for a Lecturer I or II within theConstruction Technology program. We areone of four branch community colleges of the University of New Mexico and serveapproximately 2200 students. Located inGallup NM, approximately 138 miles west of Albuquerque, UNM-Gallup is situatedin the Four Corners region and near the Navajo Nation, Zuni Pueblo and HopiReservation. The city of Gallup has apopulation of 22,000 and the surrounding areas provide an abundance of outdoorrecreational activities, various museums and extraordinary cultural vibrancy,while maintaining a small-town feel.
UNM-Gallup serves ahugely diverse student population with 100 full time and part-time facultymembers. We are fully accredited by theHigher Learning Commission offering Associate degrees, selected Bachelor’sdegrees, Career Technical Education certificate programs, and adult basiceducation (ABE / GED), workforce training and personal enrichment courses. UNM-Gallup serves multiple high schoolpopulations including McKinley Academy, Middle College High School and theCenter for Career and Technical Education.

The successful candidate will be expected toteach a 27-credit hour course load annually in the area of ConstructionTechnology, maintain an active scholarship / service record (as defined by theUA-UNM CBA), participate in monthly Division meetings and execute otherrelevant duties as agreed upon in conjunction with the division chair in anannual faculty-chair agreement. In addition,the selected candidate will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to diversity,equity, and inclusion through actively practicing inclusive behavior andproactively managing bias.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :
- Demonstrated teaching experience in construction technology or closely related field
- Certifications / Industry-recognized credentials in construction-related technologies (., NCCER or OSHA)
- Minimum of fiveyears’ work experience in the construction trade
