Position Summary
The University of New Mexico, Office of the University Controller, also known as Financial Services, located on Main Campus is responsible for all central accounting functions for the University.
It is the responsibility of the Controller's Office to ensure compliance with all financial policies, rules, and regulations adopted by the University or imposed by external agencies, including state and federal audit requirements, following generally accepted accounting practices. Additionally, the Organization oversees the maintenance of the official financial records of the University.
Within Financial Services and University Services is the Mailing Shipping & Receiving department which is the mail and package processing facility for the University of New Mexico. The department is seeking a hardworking, dependable individual to join the team, which receives, sorts, and delivers USPS, UPS, FedEx and campus mail on a daily basis.

Position Overview : As the Customer Service Supervisor , this individual will serve as the primary point of contact for UNM staff, faculty, external vendors, and customers seeking assistance with Print-to-Mail services. In this role, this person will oversee daily customer service operations, ensuring that all inquiries are handled promptly and professionally. The person selected for this position will engage with customers through various channels, including in-person, phone, and email, to provide exceptional service and resolve issues efficiently. This person will have the ability to maintain a high standard of communication and customer care will be essential in delivering a positive experience for all stakeholders involved.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee the daily operations of the Mailing / Shipping & Receiving Print-to-Mail department, managing deadlines and optimizing workflow to ensure efficient delivery of services and materials.
- Collaborate with the UNM Copy Center to support the fulfillment of print materials for production orders.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of the Print-to-Mail order production process from start to finish, strictly adhering to postal regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain precise records, communication, and documentation for Mailing / Shipping & Receiving, including tracking postage and ensuring payments are processed via TouchNet.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of storefront transactions to ensure financial accuracy and accountability.
- Manage employee relations by promoting motivation, delegating work, and addressing issues to cultivate a positive and productive work environment.

Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's education, experience, and qualifications.

Conditions of Employment Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
