The Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico is looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our growing Business Operations Communications and Events team as a Special Events Coordinator. Reporting directly to our Communication and Events Operations Manager, the Special Events Coordinator will provide support for the various events held by and at Anderson.

Specific duties will include
- Schedule and coordinate space and parking needed for various events held by and at Anderson;
- Work with the Anderson Business Operations Admin team to procure event related services and materials;
- Coordinate the creation of name tags, delivery of event resources, and other event preparation tasks, as needed. May involve working with available student employees to complete activities.
- Provide day-of, on-site coordination for Anderson events--including space set-up, and working with vendors and other internal service providers--to meet the event objectives;
- Assist the Operations Manager with the planning of Anderson-wide events;
- Assist with tracking total event costs and provide reports for budgeting purposes;
- Prepare and provide post-event evaluation data, as appropriate to the objectives of the event;
- Work with team members to provide information to effectively communicate about upcoming events and event outcomes.
Conditions of Employment
- All regular, non-temporary positions assigned to this classification are represented by a labor union and subject to the terms and conditions of the US-UNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
- Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.

- Strong organizational skills and methodologies for tracking projects and status
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a variety of individuals at different levels in the organization
- Previous experience coordinating professional and/or business events
