Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit | Integrative Community Studies (ICS), also known as Beyond Academics, is a program for students with intellectual disabilities who are interested in furthering their education. Integrative Community Studies is a four-year certificate program - awarded by UNCG's Office of the Provost - that emphasizes self-determination, life planning, and career development. Enrolled students develop a personalized college support plan to optimize their curricular and co-curricular experiences while enrolled in the program of study. |
Position Summary | The Student Resource Coordinator (SRC) for Integrative Community Studies (ICS) oversees supports provided to students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position will provide direct support 1:1 to students as well as be involved with onboarding, and professional development of volunteers, interns and graduate students who provide support to students. |
Minimum Qualifications | Masters in Human Services related field or BS plus 3 years experience in degree area. Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in Post Secondary Education for Students with IDD. |
