What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Dean for Graduate Education & Research position at The University of Oklahoma?
The Assistant Dean for Graduate Education and Research is responsible for directing several critical aspects for the Graduate College.
Duties :
- Responsible for the Program Review for MS and PhD programs, serving as Assistant Director of the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, and the Dean's representative for the Graduate College Graduate Student Association.
- Coordinating the annual Graduate Research Education and Technology (GREAT) Symposium.
- The Assistant Dean serves as the Graduate College liaison to other stakeholders on campus including the Office of Student Affairs, the Office of Inter-professional Educators and Practitioners, Recruitment and other student and education related associations on campus.
- The Assistant Dean will assist in the preparation of training grants and education research grants
- The Assistant Dean will spearhead community outreach in areas of STEM.
- Development of innovative curricula including micro-credentialing.
- Coordinating the data gathering for various national organizations.
- Plan and coordinate career and professional development activities for graduate students and postdoctoral research fellows.
- Additional tasks and miscellaneous projects for the Dean as they arise.
