Participates in study team meetings and ongoing protocol training / compliance meetings. Supports in the monitoring of external sites and assists in the management of multi-site trials.

The Division of Health Policy is seeking a highly-motivated Research Coordinator B to be responsible for the day-to-day research operations for trials that adapt existing behavioral sciences approaches across multiple domains to improve health and healthcare delivery focused on cardiovascular outcomes. This includes a new program to improve the identification, diagnosis and treatment of Familial Hypercholesterolemia (FH) using a machine learning algorithm and clinical decision support tools at Penn Medicine, as well as an ongoing effort to increase physical activity rates among cancer survivors at elevated risk for developing cardiovascular disease.
The Clinical Research Coordinator B will implement research related activities for a large multiphase research plan leading to the successful development, execution, and dissemination of a quality improvement initiative across the entire Penn Medicine health system, as well as a large, randomized control trial. Essential functions of this position will include but are not limited to : recruitment and enrollment of study participants; data collection and management in accordance with study protocols; following all IRB and human subjects policies and regulations; performing chart reviews; managing study-related materials and documentation; communicating with participants; conducting post-intervention interviews and other research duties as needed. The Clinical Research Coordinator B must have demonstrated research experience and administrative skills. They will be expected to provide additional involvement in developing and refining study protocols, recruitment, and other process strategies, and present data and reports to the research team. Additional duties will include communications with a spectrum of stakeholders including clinicians.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. She / He / They will be a highly motivated self-starter, detail oriented and have strong planning and prioritizing capabilities. Must be able to interact effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including investigators, clinical partners and patients. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Comfort with web based platforms and technology strongly preferred. Familiarity with MS Word and Excel is essential; familiarity with good data management practices, REDCap and previous EHR experience preferred. Position contingent upon funding.
