Job Description Summary
Under direction of the Associate Director, Research Operations, provide pre and post award administrative and financial support to assigned faculty and staff. Prepare grant proposals including administrative components and budget. Prepare monthly financial reports to monitor expenses and payroll. Serve as financial planner using multi-year projections for faculty to ensure heath of research programs. Act as a liaison with central departments to facilitate faculty and departmental needs in regards to research and compliance.

Job Responsibilities
- PREAWARD : Provide preaward oversight to all assigned faculty. Prepare administrative components including budget. Provide overall review to ensure compliance with funding agency announcements and policies.
- FINANCIAL REPORTING : Provide monthly bi-monthly financial reports to all assigned faculty. Ensure compliance with Department / PSOM / University policy.
- FINANCIAL MONITORING : Provide oversight of all transactions on sponsored project funding (Payroll, purchasing, cores, etc). Ensure compliance with sponsor and University guidelines. Review for wayward transactions and other errors.
- AWARD MAINTENANCE : Ensure timely completion of all reporting requirements for assigned awards. This includes progress reports, financial reports, etc.
- EFFORT REPORTING / PAYROLL : Manage research staff and faculty payroll records. Ensure effort is allocated appropriately follows sponsor regulations. Review regularly with faculty so financial projects are accurate. Semi-annual effort completion.
- STAFF TRAINING : Ensure research staff have appropriate knowledge base for purchasing on sponsored projects. Educate faculty on award compliance. Train Grants Coordinator, Financial Coordinators as needed.
- PHS FITS : Ensure FCOI compliance for all sponsored projects. Work with faculty to process efficiently so award setup is completed.
- Liasion : Represent the department in interactions with University, Scholl and external agencies regarding sponsored project administration and finance.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
