Admissions Evaluator
The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is seeking qualified Admissions Evaluators for the first professional
medical degree program.
The Admissions Evaluators will be assigned files that meet the academic standards that are determined by the UPSOM
Admissions Committee prior to the start of the admissions cycle. Admissions Evaluators are to perform a holistic review
of each application, prepare evaluations and make interview recommendations to members of the UPSOM Admissions
Committee.
Job Duties:
90% - Review and summarize applications for the first professional degree program.
Skills – The ability to work independently and pay close attention to details. Excellent written communication skills. Prove
proficiency with technology.
5% - Attend weekly Zoom meeting with the Associate Dean of Admissions
Skills – The ability to attend 1 hour Zoom meetings during standard University hours (M-F 8:30 AM – 5 PM)
5% - Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent. Master’s Degree preferred.
Ability to work remotely and devote a minimum of 10 hours per week with a maximum of 20 hours per week to the
evaluation process.
Attend weekly Zoom meetings with the Associate Dean of Admissions and attend training prior to the start of the
admissions cycle.
Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement and complete an unconscious bias training session.
Candidates must be able to provide their own computer with the ability to access the Google Chrome browser and Zoom.
