Director of Clinical Research Operations for the new PITT CRO’s Research Coordinator Support Services: Success candidate will be responsible for the development, strategic planning and ongoing services of the new RCSS including operations, staff hiring and workforce management, program management, evaluation of overall performance and planning and evaluation of the integration of the program into U PITT clinical trial operations. Will be responsible for program operations, finances, key performance tracking, staff management, daily operations, resource allocation, scheduling and reallocation and deployment of services as needed. Will liaise with and manage stakeholder relationships and expectation including Pitt research offices, UPMC research offices, faculty investigators, department leads and sponsors. Will lead as well as collaborate to manage and support onboarding and training and career path development for RCSS team.

Job Summary
Provides oversight and supervision of all administrative, staffing, and clinical functions for highly regulated programs, projects, and initiatives within a research program. Facilitates strategic planning, budgetary systems and cost models, and space management. Acts as signatory authority and oversees all reporting functions. Develops a biosafety manual.
