Director, Women's Volleyball Operations
The University of Pittsburgh Athletics Department is seeking a qualified Director, Women’s Volleyball Operations. The Incumbent will serve the department as Director of Volleyball Operations. The individual will be responsible for the administration and planning of the Volleyball program. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: preparing and managing the volleyball budget, assisting with ordering team equipment, coordinating practice times for home and away games, managing team travel including airline, hotel, ground transportation, meals, and coordinating special events. The Director will also prepare newsletters, memos, and answer calls for the coaching staff as needed, and serve as a liaison to other departments. Other duties as assigned by Head Coach.
Manages the administration, planning, and day-to-day operations of the women’s volleyball program. Collaborates to manage budgets, equipment inventory, and communications. Coordinates team travel logistics, practices, and special events. Answers inquiries via telephone for coaching staff and serves as a liaison across departments.
The individual will be responsible for the administration and planning of the Volleyball program. The individual will work with the Head Coach, Sport Administrator, and Business Office to prepare and manage the annual budget. The individual will be responsible for coordinating with the Equipment Managers to order and distribute team equipment. The individual will work with Facility Operations to schedule practice times on campus and at away competitions. The individual will manage team travel, including airline, hotel, ground transportation, and meals. The individual will also prepare travel itineraries. The individual will coordinate special events and prepare newsletters, memos and answer calls for coaching staff as needed. The individual will serve as a liaison to other departments. Other duties assigned by the Head Coach.
Computer work, telephone work, data volley, video exchanges. The individual must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
