Laboratory Research Technician I-McGowan Institute
The laboratory of Chandan K. Sen, PhD at the McGowan Institute of Regenerative Medicine (affiliated with the Department of Surgery) at the University of Pittsburgh is committed to excellence in research which drives our commitment to seek out and train the best of the next generation of biomedical scientists.
Performs laboratory testing and some analysis on multiple types of specimen samples. Operates and properly sterilizes equipment and maintains inventory and assists with ordering.
Required to undertake a variety of laboratory procedures of a technical nature. Will be handling sensitive equipment to analyze samples or substances and conduct tests reporting findings to a laboratory manager. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with hazardous materials (e.g. pathogens or chemicals).
Mostly sedentary. It may require lifting up to 25 lbs.
