Management Consultant
The Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence (IEE) is seeking a qualified Management Consultant. The Management Consultant will provide consulting assistance to businesses in Western Pennsylvania.
In addition, the Management Consultant will develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and other economic development agencies in order to heighten the profile of the Small Business Development Center, Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence, Innovation Institute and the University of Pittsburgh. This may include attending networking functions and conducting presentations.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provides consulting assistance to new and existing businesses.
- Develops and maintains relationships with local economic development agencies to heighten the profile of a center/institute and the University of Pittsburgh.
- Attends networking functions; conducts presentations and business seminars.
- Plans and delivers educational programs to the public and businesses. Plans, organizes, and facilitates educational programs and creates new educational seminars in collaboration with resource partners.
- Maintains all data about the programs.
- Uses marketing strategies to promote the programs.
- Performs market research for existing and potential markets.

Provides business consulting assistance to new and existing businesses in Western Pennsylvania. Develops effective relationships with local economic development agencies and conducts business seminars and educational programming. Employs effective marketing strategies to further market and program reach.
- Experience with financial analysis, forecasting, and developing financial projections to support small business growth and decision-making is preferred.
- Proactive and highly organized consultant who anticipates client needs, problem solves, manages multiple priorities, and delivers exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication, both orally and in writing, while handling interactions with professionalism and tact.
- Collaborates with the team to foster a positive, productive, and supportive environment that empowers everyone to excel.
- Conducts research and identifies relevant and up-to-date resources that support small businesses.
Job is mostly sedentary, but may require travel to meet with clients, attend networking events, and meetings.
