Research Program Coordinator - HPM (TH)
Housed within the School of Public Health, the mission of the Department of Health Policy and Management is to improve public health through better planning, design, management, and evaluation of the myriad organizations that provide health services. The core disciplines represented within the Department include health economics, human resource management, health policy, law, ethics, and organization studies applied to health care. Faculty are engaged in multidisciplinary research and scholarship addressing a range of problems relevant to health policy, health services delivery, outcome measurement, patient safety, leadership, and organization management relevant to healthcare organizations and systems.
- Have experience with analyzing health policy/law
- Have a desire to engage in a team-based research environment
- Have strong computer skills
- Be self-motivated
- Have a willingness and eagerness to learn new things
Coordinates protocol-related research procedures, activities, outreach, and education. Manages a study or assists with larger studies. Collects and analyzes data and complies with all policies and regulations.
Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Conducting background research to identify key elements of and variations among state and local minor consent laws
- Assisting with the development of a research protocol and codebook
- Conducting legal searches
- Coding text and resolving coding discrepancies
- Managing data
- Attending meetings
