Research Program Coordinator
This position is to serve as Research Staff for The Schmitz Lab and will help with many of the operational aspects required of the federally-funded PA Moves project. This staff person will work with rural primary care participants to schedule, collect, and coordinate study data, troubleshoot issues that occur before, during and after collection of patient data, and ensure that all database and report forms are completed thoroughly. This staff person will work with the project manager for PA Moves if the study is audited to prepare all materials for the audit.
Responsibilities: Lead data collection procedures. Contact participants to schedule and collect data per protocol. Use all case report forms as designed by the protocol, document all activities per good clinical research guidelines. Ensure protocol adherence to the best of ability. Ensure the safety of research and participant information. Complies with federal, state, and sponsor policies, as well as Institutional policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and guidelines. Ensure data collection documentation is completed. Performing data entry into appropriate databases and organizing source documentation appropriately, as needed. Gather data for the Project Manager regarding project scheduling/timelines, coordinating meetings, preparing preliminary data, researching references, and formatting accuracy according to funding agency specifications. Additionally, assist project manager with answering any queries that are issued by the sponsor, or requested by a team member for their study. Analyze and recommend improvements to policy and procedures. Other duties as assigned by the project manager or lab manager
Coordinates protocol-related research procedures, activities, outreach, and education. Manages a study or assists with larger studies. Collects and analyzes data and complies with all policies and regulations.
Strong attention to detail, high level of organization, ability to work independently and part of a team.
Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
