The Department of Nursing at the University of South Dakota (USD) is seeking applications for a full-time nursing faculty member at the Sioux Falls campus with teaching and administrative responsibilities. This is a 10-month, full-time position that provides an exciting leadership opportunity to contribute to the education and development of future nurses in a supportive and dynamic academic environment. You will be part of a dedicated team committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship and service.
Salary and rank will be based on experience and credentials. This position will be responsible for providing leadership to the Sioux Falls campus, classroom and clinical instruction, planning, implementing, and evaluating student learning, working collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to service activities within the department. Travel between the Sioux Falls and Vermillion campus will be expected.
Responsibilities Include
Experience teaching in a baccalaureate of higher degree program.
Minimum Qualifications
Strong nursing background with current and relevant nursing experience.
Current unencumbered nursing license, eligible for licensure in South Dakota
Minimum of a master’s degree in nursing from a nationally accredited program.
Evidence of successful leadership skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Evidence of strong teamwork skills.

The nursing program offers a Baccalaureate of Science in nursing degree in Vermillion and Sioux Falls, an RN-BSN online program, an online MSN and DNP program, and Doctorate of Nurse Anesthesia Program in Sioux Falls. The School of Health Sciences and the USD/Sanford School of Medicine form the Division of Health Affairs. USD is a comprehensive liberal arts state institution with approximately 10,000 students.
