The University of Southern Mississippi invites applicants for a full-time, nine-month position as an Instructor of Data Analytics in the School of Finance to begin in August 2025. Job Summary

Primary Duties And Responsibilities
A master's degree in data analytics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field is required. Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they have a minimum of 18 credit hours of graduate level analytics coursework in order to meet the minimum qualifications.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
The preferred candidate will have professional experience in data analytics. University-level teaching experience in traditional lecture, hybrid, and online formats is desired.

- Teaches undergraduate courses in analytics. Teaching includes preparation of course materials such as syllabi, course content, homework assignments, and handouts; evaluation and grading of students' class work, assignments, and papers; maintaining student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
- Holding regularly scheduled office hours in order to assist students.
- Pursue opportunities for development of teaching skills and methods.
- Participates in service at a variety of levels, including school, college, and university.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
