Job Summary
The Director of Academic Advising supervises all aspects of the advising processes- admissions, advising, retention, and graduation for all applicants and current students in the online and campus-based programs in nursing and kinesiology.

The Director of Academic Advising supervises all aspects of the advising processes- admissions, advising, retention, and graduation for all applicants and current students in the online and campus-based programs in nursing and kinesiology.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree with four (4) years of experience in a related field (working with college-level students) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Master’s degree.
- Eight (8) years of experience in advising/or related field.
- Four (4) years of supervisory experience.
- Experience with PeopleSoft (MyMav) or other university student information management system
- Supervises Assistant Directors in the Office of Enrollment and Student Services and ensures that staff and student program needs are appropriately met.
- Reviews and updates all marketing and student-related admission/advisement materials.
- Collaborates with Executive Director of Enrollment and Student Services to resolve student issues that are beyond the scope of Assistant Directors.
- Resource and back-up to Assistant Director responsibilities during peak times.
- Serves as primary advisor for PhD in Nursing program
- Represents the undergraduate level programs within the College of Nursing and Health Innovation. Other duties as assigned.
