Job Summary
The Plant Maintenance Mechanic works on an assigned shift to assist with the operations and maintenance of the central utility plant and all its equipment (i.e., chillers, boilers, pumps, cooling towers, etc.)

The Plant Maintenance Mechanic works on an assigned shift to assist with the operations and maintenance of the central utility plant and all its equipment (i.e., chillers, boilers, pumps, cooling towers, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of experience in a related field.
- Valid Texas driver license and three (3) years of driving history.
- Two (2) years of experience in the operation and maintenance of a central utility plant.
- Operate all equipment in the plant in an efficient, safe, and effective manner.
- Perform and assist in the preventative maintenance and repairs of all plant equipment.
- Read and record pressures, temperatures, fluid levels, and other operating conditions of the plant equipment.
- Serve in the after-hours service call center and relay messages to the proper personnel as to maintain smooth campus operations.
- Conduct water analysis on cooling towers and boilers to ensure proper levels of chemicals in the system to maintain a scale and corrosive-free system.
- Ability to drive UTA vehicle.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
