Job Summary
The Research Associate assists the Principal Investigator (PI), through delegated authority, in executing the National Institutes of Health ( NIH ) funded research including pre-study implementation through study closure per federal, state and Institutional guidelines.
Position is set to end May 31, 2026.

The Research Associate assists the Principal Investigator (PI), through delegated authority, in executing the National Institutes of Health ( NIH ) funded research including pre-study implementation through study closure per federal, state and Institutional guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social work or related field.
- Two (2) years of experience working in a research setting.
- Works with department staff to implement study protocol for NIH research project by interacting with PIs, Academic Advising, Office of Practicum Education, Director of Bachelor of Social Work ( BSW ) Program, and Academic Affairs.
- Creates, facilitates, and/or executes project workflows based on the needs of the department staff and protocol.
- Performs research subject informed consent and entry into appropriate research studies ensuring that all inclusion and exclusion criteria are met.
- Partners and coordinates with regulatory compliance including preparing Institutional Review Board ( IRB ) materials for approval of protocol amendments and submitting study forms. Ensures that all study documents are complete and that records are retained per federal, state and institutional standards.
- Conducts audits and quality checks of research data to check the accuracy, integrity and consistency of data collection procedures.
