Job Details:
Purpose
The Administrative Associate for Admissions and Scholarships processes College of Fine Arts scholarship awards and supports the college’s Admissions and Scholarship teams, e.g., business operations, events and special projects. The position reports to the Scholarships Manager in the Office of the Dean.
Responsibilities:
Scholarship Processing: Input scholarships awards and non-resident tuition exemptions (NRTEs) in respective systems. Process disbursement for scholarships and additional student awards.
Budget and Business Affairs. Manage purchasing, track expenditures and monitor accounts related to COFA admissions and scholarships. Liaise with COFA Business Affairs team to ensure that all relevant policies and procedures are followed pertaining to budgets, purchasing, events and travel. Work with the Director of Admissions and Scholarships on budget planning.
Student Communications. Monitor student-facing email account for scholarship inquiries. Triage and respond to inquiries, daily. Escalate communications to Scholarships Manager as needed.
Event Support. Support meetings and events for the Admissions and Scholarships teams, including annual celebration and strategic planning events. Assist with the coordination and implementation of recruitment events as requested.
Project Support. Assist the Director of Admissions and Scholarships, Admissions Manager and Scholarships Manager with additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors’ Degree and one year of administrative experience
Regular to extensive experience using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Able to learn multiple university database systems.

Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with business transactions within a higher education institution.
Prior experience with University of Texas at Austin business administration.
Prior Experience working with University of Texas at Austin systems and applications (such as LASSO, FRMS, Advisors’ Toolkit, VIP and Cognos).
Salary Range
$48,000
