    General Notes

    This is a part time position. The location of this position is in Port Aransas, Tx.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist IT Manager with daily setup of classroom and seminar Zoom connections.
    • Perform desktop, laptop and printer troubleshooting as assigned.
    • Assist with network troubleshooting and computer system connectivity.
    • Assist IT Manager with computer virus and malware remediation as assigned.
    • Assist UT staff, faculty and students with IT questions and needs.


    Required Qualifications

    • CompTIA A Certification
    • Strong troubleshooting skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Willingness to learn
    • Ability to work independently or with a team


    Preferred Qualifications

    Familiarity with Zoom, Teams and Microsoft Products. Experience with PC and Apple computers. Knowledge of Cyber Security and Network Hardware.

    Salary Range

    $18.93 an hour

    Work Shift

    M-F, 8am to 12pm or 1 pm to 5pm

    Employment Eligibility:

    Regular staff who have been employed in their current position for the last six continuous months are eligible for openings being recruited for through University-Wide or Open Recruiting, to include both promotional opportunities and lateral transfers.     Retirement Plan Eligibility:

    The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.

  • Compliance:
