The Manager, Enterprise and Executive Communications will be an integral member of our Public Affairs team and is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies for select enterprise initiatives and executive leadership communication. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong writing skills, concise and impactful content creation and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Working under the supervision of the Executive Director of Communications and in collaboration with university and health system leaders, this position will play a vital role in ensuring that our executive leaders and organization convey key messages, priorities, and organizational impact in a clear, compelling, and consistent manner — shaping the public image, reputation, and internal community of the university, medical center and school.
Responsibilities
Metrics & Evaluation: Develop and implement metrics and tools to measure the effectiveness of executive communication initiatives and campaigns. Analyze data and feedback to continually improve executive communication strategies and tactics. Evaluate and analyze engagements, gathering feedback to inform future planning and improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage and coordinate with internal stakeholders, including senior management, faculty, and marketing and communications teams, to ensure consistent and aligned messaging across all levels of the organization. Partner with public affairs peers to ensure brand guidelines and quality expectations are met.
Bachelor’s degree in communication or a related field and five (5) years of experience working as a professional communicator. Demonstrated technical ability to produce accurate, grammatically sound written content, with ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and channels. Demonstrated technical ability to improve written content, including developmental, content, line and copyediting. Experience managing social media for an executive or organization. Experience managing content in a CMS or DXP. Experience maintaining brand and style standards and guidelines. Ability to analyze complex data sets and communicate key insights via presentations, dashboards, spreadsheets, et al. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain schedules while working as a team player. Strong interpersonal skills, with a service-oriented mentality. Interest in meeting the demands of a start-up environment with adaptability and resilience.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in communication or a related field and more than five (5) years of experience working as a professional communicator. Demonstrated understanding of executive communications strategies, best practices, and emerging trends. Experience in speechwriting. Experience in internal and/or change management communication. Robust knowledge of Associated Press style. Demonstrated ability to maximize PowerPoint applications to create highly compelling slide decks. Experience working with systems such as Sitecore and Adobe Experience Manager. Experience working with Eloqua, Emma and/or another email marketing tool. Skill in using Adobe Creative Suite software, especially Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and/or Premiere. Skill in videography and/or video production. Experience in using project management software to organize work and enable multispecialty teams. Demonstrated experience interacting with university administrators, deans, faculty and staff in providing good client and customer service. Experience in medical education, higher education, health care or a related field.
Salary Range
$90,000 depending on qualifications

Responsibilities
- Support Leadership Engagement: Research, write and create remarks, talking points, and other materials to support the dean and key executive leaders in communicating mission, vision, strategic imperatives, and objectives in a clear, concise and compelling manner. In collaboration with design professionals, develop slide decks, leave-behinds and other materials. With the Internal Communications Lead, Chief of Staff and others, recommend engagements to the dean and her cabinet. Build relationships and rapport with leaders to ensure accurate and authentic representation.
- Strategic Messaging: Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy that supports the overall goals and priorities of Dell Med and its leaders. Create compelling and engaging content, including emails, web copy, and articles highlighting thought leadership. Coordinate across Public Affairs to integrate key executive voices and broader institutional messaging for optimal internal and external impact.
