What are the responsibilities and job description for the Athletic Trainer position at The University of Texas at El Paso?
UTEP (University of Texas at El Paso) has reassigned some staff members to work with different sports and now has an opening for an assistant athletic trainer to work with our football team. Secondary sport will be rifle. UTEP is located in western Texas and is a friendly, family-oriented city that is growing daily. We have a staff of 10 athletic trainers when fully staffed for 17 NCAA sponsored sports. UTEP is currently in the C-USA but is transitioning to the Mountain West in 2026.
The position includes:
Salary: $59,000
Immediate start date preferred
Monthly cell phone stipend of $50
Paid NATA annual dues and TX state licensure
Up to 10% of salary in moving expense reimbursement
$1,000 annual allotment for CEUs
Shortened hours during winter and summer breaks
