Essential Functions

Responsible for the oversight of planning, scheduling, execution, and supervision of recruitment planning and initiatives for an assigned territory. Will also have oversight of staffing, and university partnerships, and be tasked with meeting divisional and university KPI’s.
Core Responsibilities
- Supervises full-time, part-time and student employees either directly or indirectly, depending on area assigned. This includes performance evaluations, hiring, disciplinary processes, firing, mentoring, and coaching, and other related personnel issues.
- Coordinates travel schedules, and territory assignments, developing and implementing recruitment plans, retention programming, and/or UTSA admissions events on and off campus.
- Manages a geographical territory (regional and/or local); conducts travel and recruitment initiatives in assigned territory that includes recruitment events, visits, student meetings, counseling and outreach to for students, families, and university partners. This also includes establishing community relationships in targeted areas.
- Coordinates and Implements programming centered around Admissions, Financial aid, Enrollment, and special programs for the university.
- Works with Undergraduate Admissions Counselors I/II to coordinate and implement recruitment activities such as student travel, outreach initiatives, communication campaigns, and other strategic planning outcomes.
- Works with high school counselors to facilitate the application process at UTSA.
- Coordinates webinars, training, and professional development programming for the professional growth and mentorship of Undergraduate Admissions Counselors I/ II.
- Proposes, organizes, implements, and reports on enrollment planning strategies, assessments, data reviews, and enrollment forecasting for geographical territories; this includes guiding and strategizing with a supervised team.
- Develops working relationships with university agencies, departments, counselors, and advisors to enhance customer service and satisfaction.
- Leads special enrollment partnerships with campus departments, educational institutions, and organizations; this includes oversight and management of data sharing, programming, enhanced service opportunities, leading partnership discussions, and organizing strategic planning for enrollment goal setting.
- Coordinates and implements the holistic and committee review process and oversees advocacy representation for applicants, families, and university partners to resolve extenuating circumstances, grievances, and inquiries about admission decisions.
- Represents departmental leadership in public speaking, university meetings, and programming on and off campus, and maintain records of these activities.
- Works extensively with the CRM-Salesforce and BANNER Student Information Systems to communicate with students, manage campaigns, and dashboards, and track enrollment reporting.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Valid driver’s license required prior to first day.
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in admissions, recruiting, advising and/or related enrollment and/or student service with some supervisory and/or program and/or territory oversight experience.
- Master’s degree from an accredited university.
- Three (3) years of experience in Higher Education recruitment.
- Full-time staff supervisory experience.
- Experience with CRM software such as Salesforce, Student Information System programs like Banner, recruitment, and data forecasting resources.
- Demonstrated organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; organizational skills; ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
