Job Summary
The Admission Review Dismissal (ARD) Facilitator will be responsible for the organization of ARD meetings, facilitation of ARD meetings, and ARD meeting paperwork.
Major Responsibilities, Duties, and Critical Tasks
- Scheduling ARD meetings with teachers, admin, service providers, students, and parents
- Sending relevant documentation to meeting participants
- Preparing IEP (Individual Education Plan) Paperwork
- Completing IEP Paperwork and disseminating after the meeting
- Facilitate staffing when necessary, prior to ARD meetings
- Obtain or disseminate paperwork for students who transfer
Required Qualifications
- Certified teacher
- 3 years’ experience facilitating student intervention meetings or participating in ARD meetings
- Experience with special education data management systems
Accompanying Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to guide discussions about student instructional needs
- Knowledge of special education data management systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft office, Google, Zoom, and DocuSign
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Attention to detail in record keeping
- Knowledge of the application of special education law in public schools

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code Section 51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.
