Job Summary
The School Psychologist will be a member of the Multi- Disciplinary Team evaluating Other Health Impairments with behavioral concerns e.g. AD/HD, Autism, and Emotional Disabilities. In addition, the school psychologist may be asked to assist or consult with district counselors.
Major Responsibilities/ Duties/ Critical Tasks
- Complete all Counseling and Psychological Evaluations for charter school students.
- Conduct trainings as needed in areas of need (behavior, Autism, etc).
- Attend ARDs in which evaluation is reviewed or student receives services.
- Assist with Autism Evaluations as a team member.
- Complete Functional Behavior Assessment and Behavior Intervention Plans as necessary.
- Provide Counseling Services.
- Assist diagnostician with testing.
- Conduct other duties as assigned in the event of unforeseen need arises for services.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- At least three years successful experience as a school psychologist.
- Texas licensed LSSP
Accompanying Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies
- Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
- Knowledge of prevention and intervention strategies, including behavior management interventions.
- Knowledge of and ability to administer assessments.

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code Section 51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.
