We are seeking a motivated and experienced managing editor to join the marketing and communications team at UT Physicians. This role is responsible for writing, editing, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of all published content while collaborating with key stakeholders to develop and execute effective content development for the website and other platforms. In a high-volume department, the managing editor will ensure all content reflects consistency and alignment with the university's editorial and writing guidelines and AP Style standards. As the clinical practice of McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, UT Physicians provides multi-specialty care throughout more than 100 clinical locations across the Greater Houston area. The managing editor will play a key role in effectively communicating the mission and services of UT Physicians to a broad audience.

Position Summary :
Leads a full range of editorial and copywriting services including reviews and creation of patient education material, consumer-facing website articles, internal memos, hard-coded portal patient verbiage, and internal articles. Ensures that written materials meet high standards of accuracy, readability, customer understanding, and adherence to the university's editorial and writing guidelines for cross-functional teams.
