Supports library staff with digital projects.
Digitizes physical and analog materials using a variety of methods, including scanning, photography, and conversion.
Reviews and determines the quality of digitized files, as well as the accuracy of metadata and bibliographic information and updates electronic records as necessary.
Sitting, typing, and using computer for extended periods of time.
Retrieving items from the multiple locations, which can involve bending, lifting, stacking, pushing, pulling, etc.
Pushing book carts loaded with heavy materials, such as books and archival boxes.
Job Location - University Library, Edinburg ( ELIBR 4.100)
Tentative Schedule - Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM or 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Hours per week - max. 20 hours/week or based on WS hours approval.

Discipline Specific Required Qualifications
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office 365, Internet browsers, and database searching.
Willingness to contribute to the team for project completion while working independently on specific project tasks.
Effective time management to maintain a high level of productivity.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
Commitment to carrying out detailed work accurately in compliance with established guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with and serve people of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Acrobat and Photoshop.
Experience using scanning or photography equipment.
