Job Description
Job Summary:
The Associate Head Coach, Women’s Soccer will support the Head Coach for Women’s Soccer in overseeing all aspects of the women’s soccer program in accordance with NCAA, American Athletic Conference and University rules and regulations.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

- Assist the Head Coach in organizing, preparing, and conducting individual and team practices, trainings, and competitions
- Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes
- Assist the Head Coach, as directed, in the recruitment of student-athletes in accordance with NCAA rules and University standards
- Assist, as appropriate, in planning and arranging team travel; may coordinate personnel and equipment transportation and accommodations
- Establish a productive, well-rounded environment which stresses the importance of academics in conjunction with athletics
- Establish a professional relationship with students, staff, alumni and the general public in an effort to promote the University and its Athletics program
- Work closely with Athletic training, Academics, and Strength and Conditioning to monitor the progress of student-athletes
- Support the student-athlete concept and demonstrates concern for the health, safety, and welfare of each student-athlete
- Work cooperatively and responsibly with other departmental personnel
- Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach of Women’s Soccer

Equivalent Education/Experience

- Bachelor’s Degree; one to two years of experience coaching women’s soccer
- Master’s Degree; collegiate coaching experience (preferably at the Division I level); collegiate playing experience
Knowledge/Skill/Ability
- Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills; strong self-starter; ability to work within the American Athletic Conference; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; ability to work closely with a diverse group of people
Physical Demands
Moderate to heavy physical demands. Work requires working with highly sensitive or confidential information and occasional overnight travel may occur.
