Esports Coach
Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for managing practice and match schedules for specific Esports titles. Develops strategies to be implemented in competition and works with players to practice and excute strategies. Monitors player development and reports progress of players and teams.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
- Manage practice schedule for specific Esports teams.
- Coach teams during official matches.
- Develop individual and team skills through training regimen.
- Develop in-game strategies to be used in official matches.
- Maintain minimum rank requirements among team members.
- Offer mediation for intrasquad disputes.
- Report match results and practice results to Esports Coordinator.
- Work with the Esports Coordinator to recruit new students.
- Promote program to recruit potential students.
- Search for partnership and sponsorship opportunities.
- Work with other university departments to create joint events.
Required Qualifications:
Knowledge/Skill/Ability
- Advanced knowledge of one of our varsity esports titles.
- Ability to establish good working relationships with students.
- Extremely proficient with Microsoft Excel and familiar with Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with other university programs in the nation.
- A strong leadership to keep students on track and motivated.
- Ability to stay goal-oriented and self-motivated.
- High attention to detail, and highly organized.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on doing what is best of the students.

Equivalent Education/Experience
- High School Degree required
- 1 Year Experience in Esports Field Preferred.
- 1 Year Experience Coaching Preferred.
Special Job Dimensions:
Job would be part time without a set schedule. Coaches are expected to participate in all team practices and matches, both of which can vary on time and date.
