Job Description
Job Summary:
Perform a variety of tasks and duties in a multi-task environment that may include working with data of sensitive/confidential nature, including student account and bank account information. Is responsible for overseeing day to day functions of Accounts Receivable, billing, and payments and collections of student accounts and all other AR accounts.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
- Provides Colleague AR module administration which includes student billing, statements, payments and collections, billing table set up, posting and refunding of financial aid.
- Handles federal drawdowns of Pell, SEOG, work study, and direct loans including tracking and posting of draw downs.
- Liaison with Student Medical Insurance agent/provider and handles related charges/credits/recon.
- Oversees all AR billing/statements/payments/collections, including transfer of accounts from current to past due to collection including monthly write-offs per policy.
- Manages Touchnet integration with Colleague pertaining to AR accounts including Bill Payment, Marketplace accounting codes, payment plans; Serves as primary contact for Touchnet and Colleague and acts as the liaison with other campus users.
- Processes Sponsored Billing and 3rd party invoicing, including scholarship invoicing.
- Handles various invoice and billing requests from other campus departments.
- Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Equivalent Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline required.
- Must have 5 – 7 years in billing or as an accountant.
- Administrative office experience, including customer service and supervisory experience.
- Cash handling and/or collections experience.
Knowledge/Skill/Ability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Attentiveness to detail.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in accounting, MBA, or related field preferred.
