Job Description
The Manager of Operations in responsible for executing the day-to-day operations of the College of Engineering and Computer Science (ECS) in areas of, but not limited to, facilities, finance, human resources and operations. This position will work closely with the Director of Operations to ensure the college processes operate efficiently and effectively.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

- Facilities and Space Coordination: Coordinate ECS space usage, floorplans, and key/building access requests, ensuring alignment with departmental needs, security protocols, and university goals. Handle maintenance work orders and coordinate renovations or construction projects.
- Budget and Purchasing Oversight: Develop and track the facilities and operations budget, ensuring compliance with financial goals. Manage purchasing activities and vendor relationships in line with university policies.
- Personnel and Onboarding Management: Assist with faculty offer letters, oversee the onboarding of new faculty/staff, and facilitate adjunct faculty onboarding each semester. Manage the student hiring process, ensuring proper onboarding via online appointment forms. Review and process Time and Effort (T&E) forms ensuring compliance and accurate payroll processing.
- Operational Support and Ticketing System: Manage the ECS ticketing system, assign technician tasks, and ensure timely resolution.
- North Campus Oversight: Ensure ECS operations at North Campus are maintained and operational needs are met.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Three years of relevant experience; previous experience in Facilities and Operations
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment, drive projects to completion, and
- act with a sense of urgency.
- Extremely proficient with Microsoft Excel and familiar Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the company and with external clients.
- A collaborative team player, who can coordinate work effectively with employees,
- team members, and outside vendors.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- High attention to detail, demonstrated practice of establishing effective priorities and meeting
- deadlines.
- Strong customer service with a can-do attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
