About the Role
The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Lead to provide clinical leadership and supervisory support for our nursing units at Helen Porter.
This role is eligible for full benefits and requires a strong background in post-acute care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide supervision of the nursing staff, promoting collaboration and teamwork through coaching and mentoring.
- Monitor staffing levels and make adjustments as needed, ensuring optimal patient care.
- Conduct safety rounds on all three nursing units while on duty, identifying areas for improvement.
- Assist with clinical assessments and interventions, serving as a point person for significant changes in patient condition.
- Communicate important information to next shift charge nurses, ensuring seamless care transitions.
Educational Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a current RN or LPN license in good standing, recognized by The State of Vermont State Board of Nursing.
Experience
- RN with one or more years of experience in post-acute or long-term care, or LPN with three or more years of experience.
- One year of supervisory experience with demonstrated clinical skills and decision-making capabilities.
