What are the responsibilities and job description for the CRNA - Anesthesiologist position at The University of Vermont Health Network?
Shifts: 8-, 10-, or 12-hr shifts
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The CRNA/AA Administers anesthesia within their scope of practice. The CRNA provides an assessment of the patient for the attending physician’s review and selection of an anesthesia care plan. The CRNA possesses the cognitive skills, technical skills, administrative skills, and personality qualities to effectively carry out the anesthesia care plan. The CRNA maintains a commitment to excellence, caring and cooperation. The CRNA maintains an ongoing awareness of patient rights to privacy and carries out the guidelines defined in the organization’s confidentiality policy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Skills Required:
1. B.S.N or Bachelor’s degree in health care field required.
2. C.R.N.A Master’s degree required.
3. One to two years of relevant work experience preferred.
4. Must have a current NYS Registered Nurse License.
5. Must have a current CRNA certification. ACLS required.
As applicable, the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of patients for which care is being provided.
Salary : $95 - $142
