JOB DESCRIPTION:
Food Service Workers are essential in feeding everyone within the hospital. They may help with:
Preparing a patient’s meal and assembly of the tray for delivery
Delivery of meals to patient rooms
Dish washing
Separating trash/recycle/compost
Re-stocking supplies
Job routines require patient interaction, working as a team, the ability to stand for long periods of time and moving large carts throughout the hospital.
Great attitude and navigation skills are helpful!
Experience is preferred; however, this is a great way to join the UVMMC team and begin an amazing career in food service and healthcare.
EDUCATION:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum 18 years of age.
EXPERIENCE:
A year of experience in a food service setting desirable.
PAY & BENEFITS:
Base Pay: Hourly rates starting at $20.00/hour and up based on experience.
Shift Differentials: In addition to the hourly pay rate, evening/weekend/night shift workers receive a differential, dependent upon which shift you work.
