The Registered Nurse in our Critical Care Team is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in our Intensive Care Unit. This role requires direct and indirect professional nursing care to patients, including:
- Providing direct care to assigned patients in accordance with hospital policies, professional standards, physician orders, and approved plans of care.
- Leading indirect nursing functions and activities of assigned nursing personnel.
- Serving as a patient advocate and providing emotional comfort to patients and family members.
- Teaching, counseling, and educating patients and their families on their conditions and treatment plans.
To be successful in this role, you will need at least one year of RN experience, with ICU experience being highly preferred. You should also be proficient in all phases of assigned duties and function within the limits of the Vermont Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and hospital and nursing department policies and procedures.
