What are the responsibilities and job description for the New Grad Nurse Residency Program/ED Nurse Residency position at The University of Vermont Health Network?
ED Nurse Residency Program: The year-long ED Nurse Residency program is designed to provide new nurses with the knowledge and skills they need to work as an entry-level emergency nurse. Classroom time and direct patient care experience also play a large role in this program.
Experience is required to be considered for this program which can include:
- EMS/EMT experience
- ED Tech experience
- Completing your Sr Practicum in an Emergency Department

The Application Process
To be considered for the program, you must graduate from an accredited ADN, BSN, or MSN program. If hired, you must successfully pass the NCLEX exam and have an active RN license before the start date.
