JOB DESCRIPTION:
The staff Cardiovascular Perfusionist is responsible for meeting the routine and emergent demands of the perfusion service. Primary duties include the conduct of cardiopulmonary bypass and autotransfusion, along with fulfilling perfusion related functions deemed necessary by the Cardiovascular Perfusionist Chief. The staff Cardiovascular Perfusionist serves as a resource to nursing and other hospital departments to ensure optimal patient care.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors Degree in appropriate area. Graduate of accredited Perfusion Science program. This position requires verification of your college transcript. Please be prepared to provide a copy should you be invited for an interview.
EXPERIENCE:
Must have completed a minimum of 50 cardiopulmonary bypass procedures (as a primary perfusionist). Must have completed a minimum of 30 independent autotransfusion procedures. Clearly demonstrated ability for independent, unsupervised activity involving perfusion and autotransfusion procedures.
