What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Dietitian or Diet Technician position at The University of Vermont Health Network?
Great opportunity for Registered Dietitian (RD) to work variable hours. Will also consider Diet Tech candidates.
MAIN FUNCTION:
Provides clinical nutrition services to patients/residents in the nursing home. Provides additional coverage to hospital patients as needed. Completes nutritional and MDS assessments - admission, quarterly, annual. Completes meal rounds, updates care plans, attends care conferences.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s or advanced degree from a college or university with a major in food, nutrition or dietetics. Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a Registered Dietitian, Diet Technician Registered, or registration pending (Course requirements & internship completed; CDR exam pending). Certification with New York State Department of Education as Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist preferred.
