Overview:
The University of Vermont Health Network seeks a skilled Grants Management Senior Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the Finance department, this individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance and consistency in reporting of restricted funds across all Network entities.
Job Summary:
The Grants Management Senior Specialist is accountable for recording transactions for designated sections of financial statements, maintaining a working knowledge of all areas under the restricted fund umbrella, and providing training to new staff and users of the Grants Management Systems.
Responsibilities:
- Complete work papers, review work papers, and journal entries
- Provide restricted fund support to various areas of Finance, including Payroll, Accounts Payable, Management Accounting, Finance Administration, and Grants Management
- Collaborate with the Development team and others on restricted fund-related matters
- Participate in leading the completion of the annual Uniform Guidance Single Audit and assist with the Grants Management portion of the 990 Tax filing and the Financial Statement Audit and Footnotes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
- Direct healthcare system experience preferred; restricted fund, research, or foundation accounting experience desired
- Four or more years of relevant experience required, with a strong preference for healthcare or fund accounting
