Join our Radiology Team at Elizabethtown Community Hospital (ECH) as a Sonographer in our amazing community in upstate New York. We love it here and think you will, too!
Experience preferred, as this position involves scanning scheduled patients, as well as stat outpatients, inpatients, and patients from the emergency department.
Job Description:
The Sonographer performs Ultrasound exams on patients as ordered by physicians in an ethical and professional manner. Assists in all aspects of the Radiology and Ultrasound Department.
Education / Skills Required:
Must be registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography in any of the following disciplines: Abdomen, OB/GYN or Vascular.
Requires sufficient sensitivity and interpersonal skills in dealing with apprehensive patients and family in a professional and compassionate manner.
Requires positive and effective communicating skills for interaction with physicians and staff in any situation.
Requires the ability to think and act quickly in order to deliver efficient quality care in a variety of stressful situations.
Must maintain a working knowledge of all ultrasound equipment.
Schedule:
This position is scheduled to work 7am-7:30pm two days per week at the Elizabethtown campus and one 7am-7:30pm shift a week at the Ticonderoga campus. Currently, participation in call coverage or a weekend shift rotation is not required. However, weekend hours may be available if desired.
Sign-on Bonus & Relocation Eligible:
