Job Description
Primary job responsibility is supporting infusion medicine across Cancer Center and Adult Infusion Center, both on main campus and Tilley Drive, South Burlington. Individual will work with the Adult Infusion Center leadership and APP Coordinator to establish clinic needs for APP coverage. Individual should be confident and knowledgeable in the ability to manage medication and blood product reactions, and to implement UVMMC policies and protocols accordingly. Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team, including nursing, pharmacy, clinical leadership, and outside healthcare providers, to deliver safe and effective care. Candidate will work closely with the nursing team to oversee daily workflow needs of the clinic. Previous experience with oncology and hematology patient population is preferred. Available per diem hours will be utilized to support APP requirements across the Cancer Center continuum as well as the Adult Infusion Center.
Education
Registered nurse who has successfully completed formal education program approved by the Vermont Board of Nursing, or state or national accrediting agency which prepares nurses to function in advanced nursing practice. Must also be certified by national certifying agency recognized by the Vermont State Board of Nursing.
Experience
Previous experience as a nurse practitioner desired.
