Physiatrist - Inpatient Rehabilitation
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physiatrist to join our comprehensive healthcare team in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. As a physiatrist, you will play a crucial role in leading and delivering patient-centered care to individuals undergoing rehabilitation, helping them regain function, mobility, and independence.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert medical care to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, focusing on comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation services.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of therapists, nurses, and other medical professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Utilize your expertise to diagnose and manage a variety of conditions, such as musculoskeletal injuries, neurological disorders, and functional impairments.
- Lead and oversee the management of a 35-bed rehabilitation unit, ensuring high-quality care and facilitating patient progress.
- Contribute to the overall patient care experience, emphasizing functional improvement and quality of life.
- Engage in shared call coverage to ensure continuous patient care and coordination.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records, documenting patient progress and treatment outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Physiatry).
- Board certification or eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is required.
- Fellowship training and relevant years of experience in Physiatry is desirable but flexible.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in Vermont or elgible post hire.
- Proven expertise in diagnosing and managing physical and functional impairments.
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and functional improvement.
- Ability to lead and collaborate within a team-based care model.
