Job Description
The Labor & Delivery Assistant (LDA)/Unit Secretary (US) functions within the policies & procedure of the organization, and Birthing Center services, which encompasses the clinical, clerical & technical activities of assisting the unit with providing safe patient care & environment at all times. She/he will maintain a safe clean physical/clutter free environment. The LDA/US functions under the direct supervision on the Birthing Center L&D Registered Nurse.
Education
High school graduate or equivalent
Experience
Previous patient care experience and medical terminology helpful.
Please note that regardless of full-time, part-time, or per diem offer, all new hires and transfers into Labor & Delivery undergo a full-time 6-week orientation process.

- 2 weeks full-time Monday-Friday on day shift for Tech training in the OR
- 4 weeks full-time, mostly Monday-Friday, on a combination of day, evening, and night shifts to complete unit orientation
