Posting Summary
Provide high-level design (IPv4 and IPv6), troubleshooting and management functions for the University Network. Responsibilities include providing problem resolution for applications which run over the local University network and Internet. Configure, troubleshoot and maintain the Voice over IP infrastructure, E-911, wireless, firewalls, VPNs, routers, switches, DWDM and Ethernet technologies.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related discipline and four years' experience in design, troubleshooting, and management of medium- or large-sized enterprise TCP / IP networks required. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex network problems. Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a cross-functional team
required.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience with network performance monitoring, and debugging tools, 802.1x, Radius and / or AML / SSO authentication, wireless, network intrusion detection, IPv6, IP video, VoIP, EIGRP , BGP and network and server virtualization are highly desirable.
Anticipated Pay Range
95,000 to $130,000
