Posting Summary
The Residence Director (RD) is responsible for the development of a residential community within a Learning Community. Reporting to the Area Coordinator, the RD's role is to support a meaningful residential experience ensuring the residence halls are rich learning environments where students develop and learn the skills necessary to successfully navigate life on campus. This is a required live-on position with a limited duration of a two (2) year term.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
A Master's Degree is required in Higher Education and Student Affairs, Student Personnel, Counseling, Education, or related field is required.
Desirable Qualifications
Anticipated Pay Range
49,270 to $40,365 (position is an 11 month term, so actual salary will be $36,000 to $37,000)
Other Information
Successful candidates will be subject to background check due to the live-in nature of this position. This is an 11 month position, July 1 - May 31.
Special Conditions
Required to live on-campus, Bargaining unit position, Background Check required for this position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Occasional evening and / or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees
