Job Overview:
The University of Virginia's College at Wise is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cashier and Accounts Manager. As a key point of contact for students, parents, faculty, and staff, you will manage cashiers, account payments, and financial inquiries while providing outstanding support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage cashiers and oversee daily cash work
- Process account payments and deposits
- Maintain accurate records and spreadsheets
- Work with UVA WISE Foundation for Cash and Gift Deposits
- Reconciliation of accounts · Assist with mailing student account statements
- Prepare and set up files for the new fiscal year
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Basic accounting or cashiering experience preferred (training provided)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and willingness to learn internal systems
- Positive attitude and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience required
