SUMMARY Overview of the position
The Security/Facilities Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company’s security and facilities operations, policies and managing those teams. Responsible for enforcing a safe and secure environment for people, materials and property of the Company by enforcing laws, rules, regulations, safety and loss prevention policies and procedures. Responsible for the overall care of building, carrying out cleaning and maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following statements are intended to describe the general nature of the level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage, support, guide and train security and facilities teams.
- Responsible for patrolling and controlling access to Company facilities.
- Completes investigations by gathering evidence; conduct interviews, collect documents and photographs and coordinate with the Sr. Director of Human Resources for advisement on actions warranted.
- Resolves emergency situations by communicating with the Management team and with external authorities.
- Maintains Security equipment and documents.
- Monitors cameras and other surveillance equipment.
- Actively engaged with employees and vendors as they enter the building.
- Create and oversee the safety committee that meets quarterly.
- Completes all assigned tasks within the guidelines and timelines set forth by the Sr. Director of Human Resources.
- Supervisor external cleaning company
- Securing the building at the end of their shift.
- Partners with the warehouse team maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Maintain overall office cleanliness, supplement cleaning crew on off days.
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities.
- Immediately responds to facility emergencies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for overseeing the Security and Facilities teams.
EDUCATION/YEARS EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent. College Degree or coursework with an emphasis in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or a closely related field or equivalent experience a plus.
- 3 years of experience in the field of Security or in a related area.
- CPR/AED, First Aid Certification a plus.
- Ability to operate pallet jack and/or forklift a plus.

- Knowledge of commonly used security industry concepts, practices, and procedures including investigative techniques, security access technologies with perimeter and electronic surveillance.
- Ability to adhere to Company and Security Department policies and procedures, codes and standards of conduct, ethics, attendance, and appearance.
- Ability to operate various equipment in a safe and efficient manner (i.e. forklift, pallet jack or dolly)
- Ability to perform routine/minor building repairs.
- Ability to effectively perform duties in a crisis and work under pressure without the loss of composure.
- Understanding of risk and crisis management.
- Strong oral and written communications skills in English; additional languages a plus.
- Competent customer service and relationship building abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, high priority projects with keen attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Professional demeanor; team player orientation. Ability to interface with internal and external parties.
- Ability to be on-call beyond normal business hours, weekends, and holidays.
- A high degree of confidentiality required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of and the ability to effectively utilize two-way radio communications a plus.
